Welcome to SoCal-DJ's blog! We have so much to share with all of you. Upcoming topics include anything from music to lighting to venues to weddings to dinner parties. With blogging gaining so much popularity, I was very surprised not to find another DJ in SoCal that blogs!!! So here I am, trying to lead the way. Feedback is highly encouraged and please feel free to share topics you wish for us to discuss - requests are welcome!
For the first post, I thought I'd quickly lookback at the way music media has changed recently. Records (analog): whose sound is unique and warm, takes up lots of space and is not easy to transport (trust me!) but always had a great "feel" to them. Cd's were next and are now dwindling due to the wrath of ipods and mp3 players. Great sound quality but the sound seems a bit "empty" at times, especially when converting old music to a digital format. Lastly, ipods. They have completely changed our media formats. Not only with music but with tv, video, pictures, games and more - what will be next I wonder?

Welcome to the blogworld!
Great to see you in the blog community! Looking forward to reading more :-)
Nice blog, I'm definitely going to subscribe to this one. In terms of new technology, I bet they're going to come out with an ear piece that has about 20GB of space with a quarter inch output so that if you ever want to DJ a party, all you'll have to do is add speakers and a mic. I'm sure that will be out before the Fall.
